In case anyone was interested I also enrolled for semester 1 2010 today and my timetable is rubbish. But if I skip one of my mechanics tuts I get Wednesdays off! Which is not really what I wanted but the class scheduling kind of forced me into it :/

Guys today I went to laser tag and I felt like I was living MGS just in much brighter colours. Except I was probably more like one of those idiot guards that walks around in circles and gets shot in the back a lot. But it was ok because it was laser tag and not paintball so I wasn't hurt! except my pride SOB ;_;

I've been doing a whole lot more stuff than usual on this break and it's been really good! Almost like I have some kind of social life - that couldn't be the case, could it? I guess it doesn't count as social when you go shopping with your brother though - that's what I'm doing tomorrow. I need to find a present for my dad's birthday... what do you buy when people don't know what they want and have no moderately cheap hobbies? And we're also going to buy Christmas lights. My brother is a Christmas fanatic so this will be a lot more daunting than I am making it seem. I somehow managed to stop him from buying that fake spray on snow but I am not sure I will be as successful this time.

I need to enrol in classes for next semester and work out how I am going to purchase the MGS fanbook. Both of these things are actually quite difficult with capped internet. But they are also pretty time sensitive so frustration hooray!

hoho, guess what I'm posting from? My laptop is fixed~! I am lying in bed right now omg this is wonderful how did I live without this for a month.

Ah, I have my MGS secret santa request! :D And it's something I think I can actually do well - time to start sketching MGS characters again I think <3

Speaking of sketches I've done a whole load of Hetalia sketches recently so I picked the ones that were actually good and I'm showing them to you! By sketches I mean I have drawn them with a pencil on paper, not digital sketches because my laptop decided to die a few weeks ago and this old monitor doesn't display colours so well. Also my graphics tablet is definately on the way out - the pressure sensitivity is being quite strange and temperamental. Secret santa will certainly be interesting if I don't get my laptop back soon~ Although colouring traditionally sounds like a lot of fun, I'll def give it a go, maybe even if I do get my laptop back soon.

I TRIED TO ERASE AS MANY CONSTRUCTION LINES AS I COULD but I think you can still see some of them. Cleaning these up so you couldn't see the grainy paper was quite a bit more difficult than I expected it to be, so please forgive bizzare pixellated areas/random smudges.

Dear Sydney, this is not the 40 degrees I was promised. While I have to admit I would not have enjoyed 40 degrees that much, I still feel like I've been cheated.



Actually, even though the weather was pretty terrible it was still fun. I wish I could have spent longer swimming but there was a pretty big rip and I am not really a strong swimmer. I got to build a sandcastle though! Sadly it was destroyed before I could photograph it, which is probably just as well since my camera is full of sand just from taking this and does not appear happy about it.

I just thought I should post and let you know I'm not dead. idk why you would jump to that conclusion but you never know. Also if I've offended you somehow do you think maybe you could tell me? People never seem to want to talk to me and IDK WHAT I DID BUT I'M PROBABLY SORRY AND DIDN'T MEAN TO ;_;

Once I get bored of reading my 10000000 pages of course notes for my exam tomorrow I will upload all the stupid (AND COMPLETELY HISTORY-FREE) Hetalia sketches I have been doing. (I should just stop reading historical Hetalia fic because it's feeding my masochistic love of Germany/Baltics and Poland/PAIN. I should just stay out of that part of europe all together because LOL BETWEEN GERMANY AND RUSSIA THOSE GUYS ARE SO FUCKED)

Also I love that in MGS RP Liquid Snakes can get slammed for being the wrong type of British but in Hetalia RP no one bats an eye when Lithuania talks about Russia-san and Su-san is a perfectly legitimate way of referring to Sweden. (There's something that just feels right about Sweden having a r'lly th'k 'mpenetr'ble acc'nt though. Has anyone seen any muppet!Sweden fanart? I've seen at least three different Estonian wife carrying pics so my faith that such a thing exists is actually pretty high)

Well, I am just a big fat hypocrite because not only am I now getting into Hetalia, I also ship Poland/Lithuania. IN MY DEFENSE the fic is not all fluff like I initially assumed it would be.

Right before my final exams too! I am so good at this time management thing.

My brother is cleaning out his room so now I have six extra boxes of colour pencils that I feel guilty about throwing out. Luckily they seem to be quite easy to flog on msn. And I scored an RC helicopter! How could anyone want to throw that out??

I think I'm going through some kind of crazy withdrawal - I keep wanting to start sewing things but there's a treadmill in the way of the sewing machine! It is quite distressing. Maybe that's why I keep feeling compelled to do crazy things like move my furniture and paint my room and stuff. :| I think I seriously will paint my room though, the sponge pattern I have now is rubbing off really dodgily in some places.

And this doesn't have much to do with anything, but these are really pretty. I tried to make some once but it was an abysmal failure. If only I could buy some without having to pay for postage...

I hate livejournaling when I feel upset but I thought I'd better post this up while I still don't hate it.

2:04am: 1700 is not quite 2000 but it's bloody close enough. Two hours should be long enough to drop all the references in tomorrow morning (this morning?) I am actually pleasantly surprised, I thought I'd be up until 3 at least. Let's hope there isn't too much sleep deprived broken english to fix tomorrow morning.

Just in case anyone thought the reason I don't post is because I have a life of some description : I caught a train at 7:30 this morning and I am posting this from the computers in the mech eng building.

But only because I'm waiting for my bus tour of the airport. :D woooo planes!

I'm not very interesting. Maybe I should have mentioned this before.

ANYWAY I have a really crap schedule this semester that flip flops between days with really early classes and days with really late classes. Also idk what I was thinking enrolling in a 9am electrical engineering lab - I will probably end up soldering my hand to something. Apparently I am a very good conductor of electricity! Or so I heard in the safety lecture. And straight after that I have to run across campus to get to my physical fitness tutorial. I feel like my tutor will look down on me for turning up puffing and wheezing because I had to climb stairs. (But there are a lot of stairs between those two classes! That's not even counting the fact that my tutorial is on the 10th floor, I always take the lift.)

And that's why I haven't been making cool entries. But I'm thinking of going to the anime club art sessions regularly this semester. Because of lame uni politics club events don't start until week three so I have until next Thursday to think of stuff to draw! Actually I want to have some stuff already done so I can show off as soon as I turn up but I'm not sure what I should do. Well ok I want to draw lots of things but they're pretty far outside my skill level (CYBORG NINJA YEAH). I feel that this is of interest to you because I will probably post whatever I feel is good looking enough.

Just as an aside because of the song that just came up on random shuffle - does anyone else feel weird that The Sweet is still touring despite half the band being dead? The whole concept of New Sweet just seems wrong to me.

Oh and this. One of my uni friends is a foot tapper and it is a daily struggle.

I stayed up super late last night going 'I must work on my resume. I need to have this shit done by August and 'lolol i graduated high school arent i clever' does not a resume make.'
